Sheena Wood
HRC Community Outreach Specialist
Sheena brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role at Sound Pathways. As a Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery Coach, certified through the Everett Recovery Café, she is dedicated to walking alongside others on their path to recovery.
Her commitment is rooted in her own journey. “I grew up in a house of addicts and became one myself. I spent more than 25 years in addiction, with the last 5 of those years homeless.”
Now in recovery, Sheena’s greatest hope is to help others find freedom too. She uses her story to inspire change and to remind people that healing and new beginnings are possible for everyone. Her personal philosophy centers on connection and hope, often reminding others that the opposite of addiction is connection.
“I am a firm believer that while there is still breath in the addict, there is still hope for a future.”
