Kateri Mottaz

PCAP Case Manager

Kateri brings 25 years of experience to Sound Pathways, drawing from her background in Human Services, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University. Her journey in this field began with volunteering at Tulalip Elementary School, where she coordinated and transported children for Operation School Bell, assisted students with hearing and vision tests, and actively participated in the PTA.

“My decision to join Sound Pathways is rooted in my passion for working closely with families over an extended period, offering them the essential assistance they require. I firmly believe that establishing a robust support network and nurturing a sense of community are fundamental to the success of clients, recognizing the importance of advocacy during challenging times, as everyone deserves someone in their corner.”

During her tenure at Catholic Community Services, Kateri played pivotal roles in Family Preservation interventions, supervised visits, foster care case management, and served as the Alternative Response program manager. Later, she transitioned to Housing Hope, where she served as a case manager, backup supervisor, shelter manager, and trainer. Her dedication extended to teaching budgeting and credit classes for the College of Hope, making these valuable resources available to the community. Kateri also shared her expertise at Evergreen Recovery, Goodwill, and ECEAP.

In addition to her professional commitments, Kateri enjoys spending quality time with her family and giving back to the community. She serves as a Cub Scout leader, organizing campouts and outdoor activities for the group, and as a softball coach, she takes pleasure in helping young girls develop their skills and self-confidence.
