Katey Crockett

Outreach Specialist/Peer Navigator

Katey comes to Sound Pathways with her Associate’s degree in Human Services from Skagit Valley College and is a Certified Peer Counselor. She is also furthering her education to become a licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor. Katey was drawn to Sound Pathways because of its dedication to advocacy, compassion, and connection—values that align closely with her personal mission of meeting people where they are and empowering them on their unique paths to recovery.

“I am driven by a deep passion for harm reduction, advocacy, and fostering meaningful community connections, committed to treating every individual with dignity and respect.”

With firsthand experience navigating addiction and homelessness, Katey brings a lived perspective that fosters trust and relatability in her work. As a former participant in the Syringe Services Program (SSP), she has witnessed the life-saving impact of harm reduction services and is dedicated to dismantling the stigma surrounding addiction. Her commitment to this field comes from personal experience and understanding what it’s like to feel hopeless and lost, while also recognizing the transformative power of compassionate support.

“I believe that everyone deserves access to care without judgment, and I will work every day to advocate for those who struggle to advocate for themselves. By offering resources, guidance, and a listening ear, I strive to give back the same support that once helped me.”

Katey’s goal is to be part of the solution, ensuring that others receive the help and encouragement they need to reclaim their lives.
