Tanya Kumma
PCAP Case Manager
Tanya brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to her role as a Case Manager at Sound Pathways. With a Bachelor of Science in Flight Technology specialized in Aviation Management from Central Washington University and two Associate of Applied Science degrees from Green River College, Air Traffic Control and Airline Dispatch, her educational path initially pointed toward the skies. But Tanya’s true calling turned out to be much closer to the ground: in service of people, purpose, and healing.
“Most of my career has been in customer service, but I knew I was meant for something more meaningful—work that reflects my values and contributes to real change. I’ve always had a bleeding heart, and now I’m driven to be part of the solution.”
Tanya’s journey into the helping field is rooted in lived experience. She has witnessed the impact of addiction in the lives of those she loves, including the father of her first two children and a recently reconnected uncle, now six years into recovery. Their stories—and her own—drive her commitment to respectful, compassionate advocacy.
Tanya leads with empathy, driven by the core values of respect, advocacy, and connection. Her goal is simple but powerful: to use her time, her story, and her skills to make the world a better place.
