Severin Robins
HRC Community Outreach Specialist
Severin is a passionate and purpose-driven public health professional committed to advancing compassionate care, harm reduction, and health equity for individuals impacted by substance use and systemic barriers. He earned his Master of Public Health from Central Washington University, where his final capstone project focused on the benefits of syringe exchange programs, highlighting how these programs not only reduce the spread of disease but also restore dignity, trust, and access to care for underserved populations.
His dedication to this field stems from a deeply personal experience: supporting his stepfather through a battle with pancreatic cancer and witnessing the heartbreaking moment when he realized he had developed an addiction to fentanyl.
“That experience ignited my drive to work in a field where people are met with understanding instead of judgment—and where support systems truly honor the humanity of those they serve.”
With a professional foundation built on the pillars of compassion and advocacy, Severin brings a thoughtful, empathetic approach to public health work. Whether supporting individuals in recovery, building bridges between communities and care, or advocating for evidence-based policies, he is steadfast in his mission to ensure no one is left behind.
“Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity because healing begins when someone is seen not as a problem to be fixed but as a person to be supported. I find deep joy and fulfillment in helping others live their highest quality of life and envision a future where every person, regardless of circumstance, has access to the care, respect, and opportunity they deserve.”
