Dr. Sheri Hill PhD, Med, CCC-SLP, IMH-E ™ Policy Mentor
“My job is to meet people with kindness and compassion, to understand that they are the experts of their own lives and to support them on their journey.”
Sheri comes to Sound Pathways with two decades of trauma-informed early childhood mental health cross-system and policy consulting and training experience. That work is fortified by her front-line experience as a speech-language pathologist for the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program in Snohomish County.
Sheri has been a leader in the WA movement to advance equity through supporting connections to nature for marginalized communities. Her equity work includes advancing year-round licensed outdoor childcare that accepts Working Connections childcare subsidies.
Joining Sound Pathways feels like a full circle coming home for Sheri, as she wrote her PhD dissertation on The Young Women’s Health Study: Drug Use & Parenting in Adolescents. It is clear that her career focus has been, and remains on, supporting at-risk families and individuals.
“I am here to support Sound Pathways, this community and our clients as a servant leader focused on community engagement and advocacy.”
Sheri has a post-graduate certificate in Infant Mental Health from the University of Washington School of Nursing, a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Washington, a Med in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Communication Disorders from Abilene Christian University.
